Sentient-Pixels ("Sentient-Pixels", "we", "us", or "our") operates Ritmix ("Ritmix" or the "App"), a social discovery app that helps users find dance-related events and communities, discover people and socials nearby, and search by dance styles and skill levels.

We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal information. This Privacy Policy explains what information Ritmix collects, how we use it, and the choices you have regarding your information.

Your password is handled securely by our authentication provider and is not available to us in plain text.

Location Information

Ritmix requests access to your device's location while you are actively using the App. This is optional, and users may set a location manually.

We use your location to provide location-based functionality, such as helping you discover dance socials and events around you.

Ritmix does not access your location in the background. We do not track your location when the App is not actively being used.

You can control location permissions through your device settings. Some location-based features may not work if you deny location access.

Organizer and Event Information

Users may choose to become organizers and create events through Ritmix.

If you become an organizer, information you provide when creating events may be stored and displayed to other Ritmix users. This may include event details such as the event name, description, location, date, time, dance styles, and other information you choose to provide.

Supabase

We use Supabase to provide backend infrastructure, including authentication and data storage. Your Ritmix account and associated data are stored using Supabase's services.

Mapbox

We use Mapbox to provide maps and location-related functionality within Ritmix. Location information may be processed by Mapbox as necessary to provide these services.

Stripe

We use Stripe to process payments where payments are required for features or transactions within Ritmix. Payment card information is handled by Stripe rather than being stored directly by Ritmix.

These providers process information only as necessary to provide the services they provide to Ritmix.

4. User-Visible Information

Ritmix is a social discovery platform. Some information you provide may be visible to other Ritmix users depending on how you use the App.

For example, your profile information may be visible to other users, and information associated with events you create as an organizer may be publicly or broadly visible within Ritmix.

Please consider carefully what information you choose to include in your profile or event listings.

5. Data Security

We take reasonable measures to protect the information we maintain from unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. Our backend and authentication provider, Supabase, is SOC 2, HIPAA, and ISO 27001 compliant.

However, no online service can guarantee absolute security. You should use a strong, unique password for your Ritmix account and avoid sharing your password with anyone.

6. Data Retention

We retain your account and associated information for as long as your account remains active or as needed to provide Ritmix's services.

You may delete your account directly from within the Ritmix App. When you delete your account, we will delete or remove your personal information from our active systems, subject to any information that we may be required to retain for legitimate legal, security, or operational purposes.

Information associated with events or other content may be retained or handled separately where necessary for the operation of Ritmix or to comply with legal obligations.
